Sat. morning.

My darling Fran:

Since I didn’t get a line off last night I must get a quick line off this morning so Vin can take it along to Takamatsu. We were quietly spending the evening playing bridge last night when who comes in but Reds S. He brought with him just as a present two full cases of brandy so we’ll have enough brandy to last all the while we are in Japan. We started a poker game and played for cigarettes. I won four packs, it was lots of fun for a change. We had a few beers during the evening then before we took him home Vin made us something to eat. Jack came in just in time to eat with us. I have learned to drive a motorcycle. Yesterday afternoon Jack came in with his and I took it and ran all over with it. Its lots of fun but I still wouldn’t want to own one as they are much too dangerous. Reds took this picture last Saturday from an airplane. If you can use your imagination a little thats our house sitting close to the hill on the right hand side. Its not very clear but it will give you some idea as to how we are situated. Its going to be damn hot before the days over here so probably this afternoon Reds & Jack, and myself will go swimming. I’ll bet my honey is doing lots of swimming these days and boy how I wish I was there to go with her. If I’m able to afford it when I get back, every summer we are going to have a week or two either at the beach or along the river someplace. We’ll just rent ourselves a little bungalow and we’ll hide away there and have a darn good time. If our friends want to come visit us thats O.K. but we’ll be by ourselves. I love you darling and I’m always going to love you. I know it probably gets monotonous reading this all the time but I don’t want you to forget it. When I get back home I’ll be able to show you how much I love you but until then darling you’ll just have to take my word for it. I’m positive you’re in love with me so that should make us very happy couple when you get back in one anothers arms. Darling please be a good girl and keep waiting because I’ll really expect you to be waiting with open arms when I return so please don’t disappoint me dear. Be a good girl and keep writing.
